Directional Blur
Smears the layers below along one axis, into motion-blur streaks
An ordinary blur averages each pixel with the neighbours all around it. This one averages along a single line instead, so everything draws out into streaks pointing the same way — the trail a long exposure leaves behind a moving light, or the drag of a squeegee through wet ink. It reads as speed even on something perfectly still, and the cursor can steer which way it pulls.

- Bokeh — Shallow depth-of-field blur with blooming bokeh highlights
- Diffuse — Scatters each pixel a random distance, for a grainy, frosted-glass blur
- Kuwahara — Edge-preserving painterly smoothing of the layers below
- Stretch — Pulls the layers below away from a point into long, hard-edged ribbons
