Sheen
Reads brightness as height and lights it — gloss, relief and thin-film colour
Treats the brightness of everything below as height and shines a light across it, so flat artwork gets a surface: domes and ridges that shade away from the light, a wet highlight where they face it, and optional thin-film colour on the slopes — the shimmer of a soap bubble or oil on water. Put it over soft shapes, a blurred pattern or type.

- 2D Light — A positioned light over the layers below — glow or spotlight
- Beam — A beam of light over your scene — line, cross, star, ring, triangle or viewport frame
- Bloom — Soft glow on the brightest areas
- Cast Light — Daylight through leaves, a blind or a window — warm where it lands, cool in the shade
- God Rays — Shafts of light thrown by the bright parts of the layers below
- Vignette — Shade the frame edges, or cut them away so the layers below show through
